Okay, so there’s this book. Its called Wall and Piece by: Banksy. When my sister gave it to me for my birthday last year I wasn’t too sure exactly what it was. Well now I can say that it is a pretty darn good book.

In it are Prints of some of Banksy’s work with witty side notes and stories. It really helped me to see graffiti from a different point of view, and to really appreciate it. This is definitely a book that I recommend.

I Will read more than two books this year!

OK, so I have this deep almost obsession with books. Whenever I am actually given the opportunity to read a book, I may become so engrossed I may not put down the book until it is completed.I’m sure a lot of people share this wonderful disorder.

Now my real problem is not my addiction to any singular book, Its that lately… I haven’t read anything. When I say lately I mean within the last few years. Also I’m not talking about skimming over a book about teapots or anything even similar that I have done as of late, its the idea of spending hours sitting completely engrossed in a piece of literature.

So I will read more books. Not just any books granted, but really good books that actually expand my brain space. Any Ideas?

*note, I think I will begin using my blog to better my writing skills just as much as I will use it to express ideas ,songs etc. that I find ‘inspiring’

Austrailian bananas and vague memories

image

Today my subconscious was definitely focused on my early childhood because this morning the first words to the ‘Bananas in pajamas’ song came to my mind. Now I have very few memories that I really can attribute to my childhood that I am certain are actually real ,(I was pretty imaginative) but I am absolutely sure I watched Bananas in pajamas. I even remember the vacation episode, and having that (arrow pointing up) stuffed banana. I wonder what happened to it…

Hey Sharon! Thanks for following me! I enjoy having a blog and the ability to express myself in words and pictures. I hope you will have as much fun with your blog as I do. Maybe you can scan your artwork and post them on here? That would be so cool!

You are certainly welcome, and thank you for returning the favor, as well as inspiring some initiative to actually go thru with my vague idea of having a blog. And yes, I think I will post some sketches every now and then. :D

WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST HUMAN MEMORY?

As a human I find it very difficult to distinguish a first memory. Some times I remember things that I previously hadn’t even the slightest recollection of. Hovever at this very moment the earliest memory that I have the time to recall would be the day my nephew was born when I was four years old. I was standing next to my sisters hospital bed in a very small dark room looking towards the window seat where about three to four ladies were holding and whispering over the newborn.

Also, thank you for asking. :)

What is this nonsense?

Well, hullo my name just so happens to be Sharon and THIS is my first blog post. Exciting. This is, hopefully, going to be a random collection or journal of everyday snippets, sketches, drama, llamas, questions, answers, who or what inspires me, and such.

So Enjoy or maybe just pass right on thru. Thanks :)
